Tammy and I had meticulously planned the execution of leaking the wedding photos after a long and intense discussion. We were both determined to make an impact and after much debate, we decided to proceed. Tammy handed the photos over to her friend, instructing her to post them on social media under a pseudonym. I insisted she hide my face with a smiley emoji, not wanting my identity to be revealed.
As soon as the photos went public, the chaos ensued almost immediately. We could hear my parents shouting from downstairs, their voices filled with a mixture of shock and anger. Tammy and I couldn't help but giggle like mischievous children who had just pulled off the prank of a lifetime. The thrill of our successful plan made us feel like we had just won an Oscar.
"Piyali, Tamanna, open the door!" My brother's voice boomed through the hallway, nearly breaking down the door in his frustration. Tammy and I exchanged nervous glances, trying to stifle our laughter. Tammy immediately sprang into action and opened the door, her face composed and innocent.
We pretended to be completely oblivious to the commotion. My parents entered the room, their expressions a mix of sadness and disappointment, while my brother stood there, his eyes blazing with anger. The intensity of his gaze made my heart race.
"Mummy, Papa, Bhaiya, kya hua?" I asked, blinking innocently, trying to maintain my facade.Papa silently handed me his phone, his expression grim.
Tammy slowly moved to stand beside me, her presence a silent support. I glanced at the screen and saw the news on his Facebook, the numerous comments filled with girls crying and trolling me.
